Contour fan wiring--please help
Looking to square away my fan wiring for my LS2 swap. I picked up a Ford Contour fan from the JY for $20.
For those unfamiliar with the Contour fan:
1. it blows air!
2.) it's super slim and fits a GM Abody radiator like a glove.
3.) It uses a nichrome resistor to adjust voltage for low/hi speeds
My resistor is bad so only hi speed works- I know its a cheap fix, but id like to wire the fan up for Hi-only. I made the diagram below, can anyone confirm if they think this should work? Planned on running a 40a relay with a 25a fuse.

Is 86 a ground coming in? Looks like it, if so make 85 a power and then it would work

Ah! Good catch, yes the thermo switch (86) grounds out to turn the fans on. So would the power on 85 just be a keyed 12v?

That would work, I would keep it safe with a fuse as well.

Just went out and measured for ya!
Dual 12" fans, and entire unit is 24x16x3.5.
They supposedly pull ~3500-3800 CFM and are cheap as dirt (even new from the rock). Mustang and Jeep guys use them all the time.

Thank you. I�m looking for something a little shorter, the core on my radiator is 15 1/2 by 25 5/8ths 67 Pontiac gto

I believe my core is that same size. The fans aren't an absolute perfect fit, but that's when ya gotta decide between budget and perfection. They fit well enough and I could always trim the shroud and make the fitment even better if I wanted.
